I am not very familiar with Guadalajara. However, wouldn’t I be better off if I rented accommodations near my campus?

We are near to your campus!  Students can very easily get to and from schools as far as Tec de Monterrey, ITESO CUCEA and UVM. Our location is perfect for students; very central, without being downtown or unsafe.  Most of the university campuses in Guadalajara are not located in great areas for renting (unsafe/on the outskirts of town etc).

The bus system in Guadalajara makes traveling from our location to nearly all campuses very easy. Our accommodations are available for rent in a safe neighborhood that is very well located for both commuting to school and for enjoying the sights of Guadalajara. We are less than 3 blocks from CEPE and between a 15 – 40 minute bus ride  to almost all other campuses, 10 minute walk to La Minerva, Los Arcos, Centro Magno and Chapultepec Avenue – the location is truly excellent.

I am looking for accommodations which offer independence.  Why don’t I just rent my own place in Guadalajara while I study there?

First of all, it is important to note that we do indeed offer independence.  There are those who will prefer to look for their own accommodations to rent upon arrvial to Guadalajara; however, if you will be in Guadalajara for 6 months or less doing so is not recommendable.  Calling the gas company to have them come fill your tank, registering to pay electricity, water and cable can be a very costly and hectic experience.  Moreover, nearly all legitimate individual property owners require a 6 month (or longer) rental agreement signed in Spanish (regardless of whether or not you are fluent) and a Mexican land owning co-signer (or fiador).  It is not necessarily easy to do.

Your rental units have a variety of prices. Aren’t some of the rents a little high for accommodations in Mexico?
 
Not at all, in fact our value is so good that we have had many Mexican clients, even Guadalajara natives.  Mexico is like anywhere else, you will get what you pay for. Yes, you can find less expensive accommodations, but they will not match our location, service or quality. There are places which cost more than us and places which cost less.  We offer very reasonable prices for short-term all-inclusive accommodations.

I am trying to reserve my room online; however I am being notified that I must create a PayPal account. I thought that Guadalajara Student Housing Inc. accepted all major credit cards. What should I do?
 
Guadalajara Student Housing Inc. does accept most major credit cards.  When you reserve your room online you pay the reservation deposit and that desposit is payable via your PayPal OR via your credit card. 

I want to rent my room from Guadalajara Student Housing Inc from a specific day until a specific day.  However, when I try to select a date range from your automated reservation system I am only allowed to select whole months at a time such as April or May.  Why is that?

Put simply, because we are not a hotel or hostel.  The minimum rental period which we offer is 1 month.  We have a partnership with a great hostel which we recommend to students who need accommodations for a few weeks or days. 
 

I am a student who is already in Guadalajara. May I rent accommodations from Guadalajara Student Housing Inc. and pay cash?

We prefer to rent all of our accommodations electronically because it is safer, quicker and more convenient. However, if you are a student who is already in Guadalajara and would like to pay cash you may do so. Moreover we have a mobile credit card processor which can be used for onsite credit card or debit payments.  Contact us to view the accommodations and as soon as we receive your deposit we will electronically reserve your room for you (assuming there is still availability at the moment the deposit is received).
 
 
 
Do you provide meals for your clients? 
 
We are reaching out to independent students who wish to have more freedom. Having to be home at a specific time to eat is not convenient. Our clients have access to a kitchen with everything they need to prepare their own meals. Moreover, groceries and restaurants are all close by. Everyone thinks they will use meal services, but in reality few do.  There is really no need to have meals included - it is simply not practical. 
 
 
 
I hate cockroaches and bugs. How do I know that your accommodations are clean and worth renting?
 
The comment that we receive from nearly every foreign student who sees our accommodations is “very clean.” We have maid service included in the rental price. We spray for bugs twice a month. We have installed bug screens in windows, ventilation ducts and drains. We are very serious about being the best option to foreign students who study in Guadalajara – you don’t need to worry about being uncomfortable if you rent your accommodations from us.
